PPA 70-Sketch Challenge

Guys, I can't believe that it has been so long since I have posted, I know that I have said it before, but I AM GOING TO KEEP THIS UP!!!! I have made a few projects that I will be sharing soon. I also have received a few cards that I want to post and give credit to those that have sent them. They are beautiful!

I decided to play at PPA this week...another one of Margaret Moody's wonderful sketches. I have always loved sketches similar to this one...I purchased (one of the benefits of being a demo) a 3X3 square stack of samples of every kind of DSP that Stampin' Up had to offer (this was from last year). It is on an "O" ring so each sheet has a hole in the corner. This project was perfect to pull out theses samples, the center square hid my little holes. I chose the "Flock Together" DSP. I cut 4 squares in half, then in half again to make 1 1/2" squares. Nifty, huh? I then strategically placed them around until I knew that I had...."the look". I needed a sympathy card and I think that this one turned out so great! I will be able to make more than one card with the other squares too...
Thanks for looking! I would love to hear your comments.

Hey guys! Two post in 7 days...someone better write it down. This is my second PPA challenge in a week. You should go make a card and play. So much fun and wow...look how much better it makes things look. Hope you enjoy. Go ahead and Play at PPA. One more thing....shhhhhh don't tell...this is only my 3rd card EVER. Even though I have been with Stampin Up for over a year, it has been hard for me to step out of my comfort zone (Scrapbooking) and guess what??? I LOVE IT! My Craft Space

I can't wait to share my space with you all. I love checking out other blogs where you share your space, so I thought...why not? So I hope that you enjoy.

This is a snapshot of my favorite space! I just love it!!!! Those of you that know me well know that I am just a tiny bit OCD.....so that's why everything has a space. Sometimes I have a little bit of a hard time crafting because I can't stand things not to be in "its" place. (I am working on that though.) You will see my new rods from Ikea . One of the blogs that I just LOVE is my Stampin Up upline Mary Fish http://www.stampinpretty.com/. She is SUPER talented. I saw these rods on her blog an I knew that I just HAD TO HAVE THEM...well since we do not have an Ikea anywhere near here I had to wait until I was able to travel to one (they would not ship this item). Well, I must say...I LOVE ME SOME IKEA....You will also notice my autographed Nick Lachey picture at the top of my wall organizer. I also love me some Nick Lachey (a lot of you out there know that too).

This is my bullentin board that I have some family pics, card measurements, and work from some of my pals (The group of fellow Stampin Up members that I belong to). They are a super talented set of folks and I LOVE being apart of this team!!! The art work above the bullentin board is from my super talented daughters. I have more of their art that I am wanting to get framed.
This is a close up of the wall organizer that I have had for awhile now and I love it! You can see the rods a little better in this pic....love it! The paper that you see in the two floor organizers is all of my Stampin Up paper...I try to add a little to each one of my orders. It is great for everything to match. Speaking of SU paper....it was announced yesterday that they are changing things up a bit and there are LOTS of new colors. I will post the new color chart on my blog as well.
O.k. On the top is another one of my Ikea finds...I found these 3 canasters (SU demos check out pg 18 of the new mini...yes, it is the exact ones...I had no idea until I got home with them). All of you other guys have to wait until May to know what I am talking about. The cute boxes on the bottom (and one on the top) also came from Ikea. I have my stamps (in alpha order) in the ones on the bottom and my clear mount blocks in the one on the top. Two of the binders have stickers in them (organized by theme) in page protectors. One of them has only alphabet stickers and the other one has an image of every stamp set that I own, also in ABC order. I don't throw anything away....I can't waste my scraps. The two boxes on the top have my tiny scrap paper divided in envelopes by color. The blue box is SU Card stock only....yea!
I love this quote. This hangs above my double doors in my craft room/office. How appropriate! This was a Decor Element that SU carried. I just love it....it was easy to hang. (I think, Mark did it). :O)

More storage...of course Idol is on. The green basket holds all of my Big Shot Big XL dies...perfect fit. The box next to it (kinda hidden behind the two organizers) holds my smaller dies.

This is my sitting area in the craft room/office. I love to see my girls pile up and look at the scrapbooks that I have worked on. They look at them over and over and over. Makes the hard work worthwhile.

This is our desk. You can see my cricut sits on this...love the cricut! I have been "bitten by the bug". I hope that you have enjoyed...I can't wait to see some of your space.

Making a come back....

Ok guys, I promise this was a goal of mine. I am ashamed to say that I am not doing a good job. I will post soon, I will post soon, I will post soon. :O)

I have been really busy and I haven't had time to do any personal scrapbooking or card projects. I want to so bad! This is my relaxing time, I love it! I am just going to make time. I am in my office/craft room doing some organizing. I can't wait to share. My next post will be of my room. I want to share my space. I always enjoy checking out other's craft areas so I thought I would share my own.

Stay tuned.....

PPA 26 Anything but a card and Megan's 13th Birthday

O.k. It looks like I am not wanting to do the card challenges, but I just haven't had a chance. I started this blog to post (at least) weekly....I am NOT doing a good job. Today starts a new week and I am going to do better! This item was a fun thing for me to do, Megan, my oldest turned 13!!! Yikes! I made two party favors for her party. The first thing I did was a little party bag with a Bath and Body works lotion. I used the Big Shot, the Big Shot top note, the medium cello bag, the scalloped punch, Baroque Motifs Stamp set and Regal Rose Ink pad. I love this, the girls did too. This is actually something that I am going to do for friends every once in a while. It's a neat little gift. The second thing that I made was a little candy bag. I used the Big Shot, the Big XL die Bag w/scallops, Scalloped punch, Regal Rose and Kiwi Kiss (last season In color) Ink Pad, Baroque Motifs and the Itty Bitty Buds stamp set. The Itty Bitty Buds was one of last years SAB sets that I earned free by purchasing $50.00....Love me a deal! I used it to make my own printed paper. I hope that you like it, I loved making them. Stayed tuned for my next post...

PPA 23-Anything but a card!

This is my first time doing ANY challenge. I need to work on my photo skills, but hey it will come with time. This is a layout that I did of some of our Disney Pics. I used SU Old Olive and Chocolate Chip Paper and ink. The SU Polka Dot Punches Set (which I love b/c it matches up so good with the punches) and the Scalloped Punch. I also used a chocolate chip corduroy brad and two die cuts from The Write Stuff Specialty DSP. I am excited, this is my first of MANY challenges. Thanks for looking!

First Post and the NEW catalogs....

Yea! I have finally done it....I have a blog!!! This blog is for me, I guess you could say it was/is a resolution. I have been a scrapbooker for MANY MANY years and I am starting to incorporate Stamping into it. Almost a year ago, I joined Stampin Up as a Hobby Demo and I love it. Even though I am a "Hobby Demo", I do have a few customers and that's great, so if anyone else out there needs anything, please let me know. To the right you will see the NEW 2010 Occaions Mini Catalog and the SAB Catalog. ***Please note: These do not start until January 5th. Stampin Up has released early due to a delay in them being mailed. To my peeps out there that I always give one too...I will let you know as soon as I have them. I started this blog to be able to keep a history of my projects. I want to participate in some contest and challenges and I think this will be just right. I hope that you enjoy checking out my projects as much as I enjoy making them.
